Coinciding with the opening of nominations for the 2022 Queensland Music Awards, artists, and industry gathered to witness the reveal of the latest Song of the Year plaque to join the ranks in Brunswick St Mall. Sycco's breakout hit 'Dribble' took home Song of the Year as well as the Pop Award at this year’s star-studded QMAs, produced by QMusic, and held in May at the wondrous Fortitude Music Hall.
Self-taught triple-threat singer/songwriter/producer, Sycco quickly climbed lineups through to her breakout year in 2020. Releasing a string of hooky choruses and shimmering psych-pop bops, 'Dribble' caught critical acclaim and racked up millions of streams, hitting the #29 spot in triple j's Hottest 100 (the highest artist for a new artist in 2020). About to embark on a national tour in support of her new EP 'Sycco's First EP', it's just the beginning for Brisbane's latest legend.
